The Doyen

About

A community for cigar aficionados.

The Doyen is a members-only community for people who take this craft seriously. Aficionados who travel to find good lounges, document the cigars they collect, and learn from the curators who came before them. Built by people who would rather sit in a lounge than scroll a feed.

We are not a marketplace. We do not sell tobacco. We are a private space for the people who already love this craft and want to find their people, document their journey, and learn the history behind what they already know.

Members keep a tasting journal of the cigars they have tried and the pours they have paired them with. They mark the lounges they have visited and the ones they want to. They follow other members across the country and trade recommendations. The Doyen’s Table is where the curators publish: lounge owners, sommeliers, and hospitality veterans who have spent years getting good at this and have the stories to show for it.

We do publish a pairing engine, a curated set of rules for which cigars belong with which pours, but it is one tool among many. Our north star is the community: finding the right people for each other, helping a member discover the cigar or the lounge they did not know they were looking for.

The free tier exists so you can see if we are for you. The paid tiers exist because the curators, lounge owners, and team who keep this place worth coming back to deserve to be paid for the work.
